We Are Overcome by the Word of Our Testimony

Are you sharing good news with others, or are you containing it all in? When we’ve truly been delivered the excitement is so much that we just can’t contain it.
Often times we feel the need to hold back on our testimony because we detest being accused of bragging. In actuality, the Word of God encourages us to spread the good news to others.
We must spread the good news so that men may be changed. The word of God tells us in Revelations 12:11, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”
We have the ability to change the world. We may not be able to change the entire world at once but we can change the world one person at a time and it starts with you and me.
Unfortunately, we live in a society that has shamed us out of openly sharing the Gospel with others. Society has made us to believe that you’re either in with the “cool crowd” or the dreaded “holier than thou crowd.” My friend, I believe it’s the trick of the enemy to shame us into thinking that it’s not cool to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
However, as the scripture says: “They overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Therefore, no matter what the “cool crowd” says, be not deceived, we have to take a stand and lead by example.
Somebody may be down and in need of an encouraging word. I encourage you to share with someone of how you were faced with trials but God caused you to triumph; encourage them that we are all triumphant in His name.
Assure them that their day of relief is right around the corner. Good things come to those who wait patiently and of good courage. Encourage another as you encourage yourself in the Lord as you go through your life journey.
